Cairo, Nile Cruise & Hurghada

History, river and beach in one trip. After Cairo, fly to Aswan and sail downstream to Luxor, then cross the desert to the Red Sea.

Hurghada’s resorts are perfect for unwinding, with a snorkelling day to Giftun Island included.

Tour Highlights

Giza Pyramids Complex

The last standing wonder of the ancient world sits on a desert plateau a few minutes from our hotel. Your Egyptologist explains how three generations of kings turned limestone into eternity, and where to stand for the classic panorama.

Grand Egyptian Museum

The world’s largest museum dedicated to one civilisation. Climb the Grand Staircase lined with royal statues, meet the colossus of Ramses II in the atrium and see the complete Tutankhamun treasure displayed together for the first time.

Nile Cruise between Luxor & Aswan

Unpack once and let the river do the rest. Days are spent visiting temples, afternoons on the sun deck watching palm groves, villages and fishermen slide past.

Philae Temple

Reached by a short motorboat ride, the island temple of Isis was rescued from the rising Nile and rebuilt stone by stone – one of the most romantic settings in Egypt.

Kom Ombo Temple

A rare double temple shared by the crocodile god Sobek and Haroeris, standing right on the riverbank. A small museum next door displays mummified crocodiles.

Edfu Temple of Horus

The best-preserved temple in Egypt, dedicated to the falcon god Horus. Its walls tell the story of Horus’ battle with Seth, and its towering pylon is unforgettable.

Valley of the Kings

Hidden in the Theban hills, the royal necropolis holds more than sixty tombs. Your ticket covers three of them, with colours that still look freshly painted; Tutankhamun’s tomb can be added.

Giftun Island & Orange Bay

A protected island of white sand and turquoise water off Hurghada. Two snorkelling stops on bright coral reefs, then free time on one of the Red Sea’s prettiest beaches.
